The first 30 minutes were the flash the short attention span folks need. The rest of it was for the serious viewers. I think President Trump knows this very well.

Axelrod knows that no matter who the candidate ends up being, the DNC convention is going to focus on:

1. Abortion
2. Sanctuary Cities
3. Trans Rights
4. Gun Control
5. Green Energy
6. Climate Change
7. Supreme Court
8. Student Loan Debt
9. Racism
10. White Supremacy/MAGA Extremism
11. January 6

I don't know how that convention will compare to the Republicans' convention, but theirs is a platform of divisiveness and demonization of others.

Axelrod is probably telling people that they need to make their convention more uplifting and not just attacks on President Trump and his supporters. He's probably thinking that they lost the White House and they need to refocus their convention on the down-ballot Congressional races, which will just plummet their convention into the weeds.
