So... The secret service is completely useless to secure a protectee even after a threat has been identified and the threat is within striking distance of the protectee? Is that what we can take away from this? If so, then every SS agent who had a supervisory position at that rally should be fired, like right now!
This is completely beyond acceptable, we need action taken and we need it right now! I'm calling the switchboard and going to make my utter contempt for the SS and this failure (on purpose?) known and demand resignations.
The SS failed—because the assassination attempt failed.
