I forgot he compared our core to the Sun's surface of a million degrees. BTW, how do we know the temperature and elemental composition of Earth's core?

There is no direct evidence. The deepest hole is in Russia. Goes about 12 miles or so down. To get to the centre of the earth you’d need to go thousands of miles deep so it’s all theory. But I’m not a geologist so what do I know.
