In NC, we're being asked by the power companies to NOT use electricity during "peak hours"--meaning no AC during the hottest part of the day.

On Christmas Eve '22 there was a blackout on a zero-degree day because the grid couldn't handle the demand for electric heat. That's never happened before.

We get those same messages (about conserving energy), in the heat of the day, here in TX, too.

And, don’t forget ... almost our entire grid failed, for over a week!!, during the Great Texas Freeze of 2021.
