In response, Trump replaced primary campaign manager Corey Lewandowski with Paul Manafort, who was an expert in convention management. After the convention, Trump replaced Manafort with Steve Bannon and Kellyanne Conway for the general election.
And look at how the Democrats handled this.
First, they tried to get Lewandowski fired for battery against liberal reporter Michelle Fields. The charges were later dropped.
Since the election, Paul Manafort was tried and convicted for failing to register as a foreign agent.
Steve Bannon was sent to prison for contempt of Congress.
Their crimes were really supporting President Trump's campaign and they were punished for successfully defeating Hillary Clinton.
