Former President Donald Trump will announce his vice presidential pick Monday, he told Fox this morning.
Trump has long teased who his running mate will be and has yet to reveal who it is, or specifically comment on who is strongly in consideration. Sources close to the Trump campaign previously told The Post that Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum are his top contenders, as well as Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.).
His announcement lines up with the first day of the Republican National Convention, and comes two days after a gunman shot Trump in the ear at a Pennsylvania rally, nearly missing his head.

Yeah, because the VP is in charge of families.
vance seems like a “I dont take sh## from no one” kinda guy. we need balls not balls in a jar. Vance is a good choice
At least by the end of today that speculation will all come to an end. In a way it’s like watching the NFL Draft and being anxious to see who your favorite team drafts in the 4th Round.
Yeah, just because we are being overwhelmed by politics, let's fill the administration with people who know nothing about it.
Elon Musk is an African-American, but he would need a photoshopped birth certificate.
You got that right! Whoever President Trump picks won't be [fill in the blank] enough.
Agree. Nice guy, but we need more than that. I am concerned that Trump changed his mind after the attempt to someone non polarizing
Limo spotted at the Kanye West mansion!
Although 2028 is an issue, we need to remember that Trump is in his late 70’s and will be in his 80’s before his term is over. It isn’t guaranteed (never is) that he will survive his term. So, not only is 2028 an issue, but so is 2025, 2026, and 2027. The VP doesn’t have to be the heir apparent for 2028, but it needs to be a solid conservative. Suggestions of Gabbard, Stefanik, Vivek, and others just don’t fly with me.
After the debacle that was Jefferson Beauregard Sessions, I no longer self-identify as “conservative”.
The little man was inside Trump’s tent and the first to stab him the back unlike Pence who was the last.
Both little men with pea brains had MUCH in common.
They made their bones in the SNAKE PIT that was the United Senate.
Party means nothing when it comes to United States Senators.
Most EVERY Deep State traitor elected to hold office as a Republican has come from the snake pit.
Juan McCain, Goober Grahamnesty, Pierre Delecto, Suzie Q Collins, Lisa Murkowski, et al.
Man was I ever on board with the Sessions nomination.
The little man talked the talk and I swallowed it hook, line, and sinker.
But talking the talk is MEANINGLESS.
His loyalty was to the swamp and the Deep State.
If Trump nominates either Little Marco or Vance and wins in November, there will be another attempt to take out Trump.
Reagan nominated a former chief of the CIA which made certain that there would be an attempt to take him out.
I got a double problem with Vance and that he comes from Yale which has been a prime recruiting ground for CIA which synonymous with Deep State.
Read Silent Coup, the book documents the Yalies and the Deep State.
I pray Trump does NOT make the same mistake as Reagan.
Family Values
Agree. He fought his way to where he is. Definitely self-made (Grandma made).
If Trump overlooks me, I will be incredibly sad.
I even sent him a shot of me in a bikini (to compete with Tulsi Gabbard).
Tulsi Gabbard is a former Democrat and is no more of a closet Democrat than is Trump, also a former Democrat. She has evolved over recent years, like everyone, she’s aligned quite well with Trump. She would compliment him in a way few other VP candidates might. Further, she’d draw Independents and wayward Democrats, which none of the others will do. She is a veteran, like Vance, the only two in apparent contention.
Weird to give Vance guilt by association.

I said that he’s too squishy to be a VP. But I can still like him because he supports families. It just like anything. You may support a politician that you normally support because he supports a pet issue of yours.
“Scott has no fire in his belly.”
I agree.
But about 4-5 months ago, Sebastion Gorka was exiting a
meeting and said he knows who the VP pick is. Reporters were present yelling questions.
Gorka said it wasn’t a woman, nor was it Vivek or DeSantis.
Then he left. A few days later, Tim Scott got engaged and said he had to plan their wedding in a hurry so he could campaign.
That’s when I assumed he was the VP pick.
He could have been at the time, but, of course, it could have changed. His wedding is planned for the first or second week of August.
Still, I do not trust her.
