Former President Donald Trump will announce his vice presidential pick Monday, he told Fox this morning.
Trump has long teased who his running mate will be and has yet to reveal who it is, or specifically comment on who is strongly in consideration. Sources close to the Trump campaign previously told The Post that Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum are his top contenders, as well as Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.).
His announcement lines up with the first day of the Republican National Convention, and comes two days after a gunman shot Trump in the ear at a Pennsylvania rally, nearly missing his head.

Burgum delivers on energy and would be an asset to firing up Keystone and working with Canadian the pipeline. Ot sure what Rubio or Vance bring to the table.
And it will be the typical never Trump hacks.

I'm hoping for Vance. A president and vice president who haven't been in politics for their entire lives--that's what we need to even begin cleaning house. And Vance, unlike many of the other choices, is articulate. We need that too.
I hope Donald made the right choice for his pick.
I would be very content with Vance. Please not Stefanik or Vivek. DeSantis or Carson would be fine. Youngkin would be okay—not my first choice. I think that it will be either him or Vance.
No choice will satisfy everyone. There are certainly people I don’t want. But it just doesn’t matter now. It is Trump all the way.

I’m still predicting Elise Stefanik will be his VP pick. That said, I’ll accept Vance as the VP choice knowing we’ll have so many other presidential candidates to choose from in 2028!
