I predicted this also. It was almost guaranteed with the insane way the left has been projecting.

Biden kept escalating his rhetoric against Trump, claiming that Trump and his supporters “represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic,” while warning that “equality and democracy are under assault.”
Biden’s X account was full of such language.
Biden even used the threatening phrase “putting Trump in the crosshairs”-——meaning being aimed at by a gun, such as a rifle that has an aiming device with crosshairs.
Crosshairs are a pair of fine wires or lines crossing at right angles..... the focus of a gun sight, for use in positioning and aiming at a target.
I wonder if the rifle telescope was graduated in MOA or milliradians.

That was alarming enough, but the real change in the zeitgeist occurred when the FBI took up that refrain and actually promoted the notion that the greatest terrorist threat in the country came from White Supremacists, a political cohort that frankly nobody sane had ever heard of. "Promoted" as in not only said it but actively participated in it. That sort of validation from a heretofore trusted (more or less) source sealed the deal even as it crippled the FBI's own credibility.
We have the media, the executive department, the DoJ, and Congress unapologetically creating and sustaining organized hate propaganda and pretending to be alarmed at its success in public while laughing about it in private. Recently we witnessed unbelievable hypocrisy in the principal offender, Joe Biden, demanding that the temperature be turned down by his targets, with the media chiming in "yeah, that's right, it's all that hate speech from the White Supremacist Nazis on the other side that's causing our people to shoot at them." That wasn't intended to convince, it was intended to rub our noses in it.
