I never take the bomb making material comment seriously. Anybody that does any plumbing or electrical work has bomb making material. May or may not be true.
Yeah, I’ve got various types of wire and a few lengths of pipe around here, some batteries, and even an old-style windup kitchen timer. I just don’t have explosives and detonators and such, nor any desire to build a bomb.
I agree, anyone that works in the trades has bomb making materials. I always read police statements with a jaundiced eye.
It is a classic BATFE tactic to claim that ordinary household supplies are “bomb making materials” when they’re trying to frame someone.
