How does a gunman, in plain view of some spectators, manage to open fire on a former president at a campaign rally protected by federal and local law enforcement?I wonder if it was a deliberate failure?

Have you ever fired a rifle? It would be difficult enough to hit a moving target as small as a head let alone a EAR!
The shooter was aiming for Trump’s head and it missed only because Trump moved his head a split second before.

I wonder if it was a deliberate failure? Makes you wonder... If this had been successful, then Trump would no longer be a problem for the left. If one were planning a can't-lose scenario, the alternate step on the flowchart would be to stage a "right-wing retaliation" against Biden and solve that problem, instead.
