“I am surprised (not) that the roof tops were not secured or that people on the ground were yelling ‘he got a gun’ and ‘he is on the roof’”
People on the ground (attendees outside) WERE yelling to Police, and motioning to SS, exactly that. They started as the guy was going to the roof with a long gun. For FOUR MINUTES before the shooting started. LEOs & SS Agents ignored them.
The observers knew it was bad. They’re PA boys and know their guns. First day of deer hunting season is a holiday in PA — unofficial, but observed by almost everyone. I was going to apply for a job at GE in Sayre, PA, and one of the holidays was/is first day of hunting seasons.
Hope those witnesses that alerted the cops about the guy on the roof will be called before any enquiry....or will it be a Warren Commission event?
Same with South Jersey. On the first day of deer season more than 1/2 the boys in my 7th grade classes were absent. The final 3 years of my teaching career they got smart and made the first and last day of deer season 1/2 days.
