Nobody that wears a uniform in their official duties wants to be supervised by a political appointee who never worked a day in that same job in their life.
This. Why would they appoint someone who has zero experience with the FDNY or firefighting in general to a position as the chief civilian in charge of the department? Doesn’t make any sense unless she was a political reward, a Kamala kneepad situation, or a DEI hire. But apparently the FDNY rank and file couldn’t stand her.
