A member of the crowd, I believe sitting behind President Trump, was hit in the head. An ER doctor at the rally went to help - he was bleeding profusely and brain matter splattered about. So perhaps a bullet did just miss Trump by inches.
Regardless - anything like this is too close.
Another guy being interviewed said he was at a party at the farm next door, then went over to the side of the property to listen to the rally. Could not see Trump, but could hear him.
Then he spots a guy in camo with a rifle army crawling up on a nearby roof - 50 feet away from him. He yells at the cops that are right in front of him and they don’t do anything. He is pointing at the guy on the roof and sees the Secret Service looking at him from another roof with their binoculars. He said the SS probably could not see the shooter from their vantage point, but he is waving and pointing.
This went on for 2 to 3 minutes he estimated, and then the shooter starts shooting. And then he is shot and killed.
