That was piss poor counter sniper training…not staying on target and loss of focus in reaction to gunfire.
I think he was never trained for that role and placed in a position he never qualified for.
Yes— and a reason why imho (unless he had locked the tripod angle of the weapon to quickly reset to on target)— someone else shot this clown. There being two head shots, so has been said. The other sniper was prone and did not lose target for the head popup. Do think someone else was back there behind this guy- those shown in the photo on the roof after (with smaller caliber weapons). The roof snipers had Barrett 50 cal 2 or 3 to the chamber no box.
