I see this as drama. The dems need and want him out. They will wait until the last minute to replace him, so there isn’t time to investigate the new candidate.
It may well be an internal coup, one of those fakes like the Russian coup last year. It makes Joe look stronger, rats out his internal enemies, and enables him to run against the Establishment — Trump’s strength.
