What if the U.S. had been told to stop fighting Japan during WWII, the way Israel is being told to stop fighting Hamas?Well, if the U.S. was on life support from a foreign power who was providing the weapons, and whose legislature was awash in American cash to make sure the weapons kept flowing, then I imagine we would be expected to listen to them.

They allies made up “rules of war” after the fact in order to punish Germany for not surrendering.
But then they had to live by those same rules, which basically no one can live by and win with. Thus why we can never win a war since.
Eventually someone who isn’t following the rules will win and when they do, there will be no more talk of rules.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki would have been war crimes. Yes. Hiroshima was bombed because of troop garrisons there. Unfortunately, most of the casualties were women and children. Something like 24 percent of the deaths and casualties were school kids 14 and younger.
Israel gets attacked by media if one baby dies while killing 200 Hamas combatants.
