That weight causes LOTS of problems. My son manages a tire store and he’s got first-hand experience with EV tires. He sees the short tire lives on EVs, and their special compounds. It’s a major environmental problem. His EV customers are all very well-to-do, but they all start yelling at him about short tire life and high replacement cost. He has to be nice to them and take the beating — he tells me later how stupid they are to not research the problem before buying the cars and he has zero sympathy for rich customers buying a $100k car complaining about tire prices.

Tell your son not to laugh at the EV suckers until he’s absolutely sure.........they can’t hear it. 😁
