I’m with you on Gabbard...she’s smart and would definitely help with independents...knows how to speak to and about the deep state and all that’s involved there...would absolutely destroy Camel in the VP debate.

I’m sure he’ll pick another Deep Stater like last time.

Sarah Palin energized McCain’s base. He still lost because he was deep state.

“JFK’s pick of LBJ for sure helped Kennedy secure the win.“

Actually it was dead Chicago voters that pushed him over the top. Just saying.

Good name.

Independents are the dominant force in the electorate now, so any pick should point at them.

That won’t be any Swamp filth with a political history.

Oh and btw people. The debate schedule is already defined and it includes no VP debate.

What about all the Freepers who have said they won’t vote for Trump if he picks the “wrong” running mate? Are all these people.blowing hot air and didn’t really mean it?

Yes - I believe they will still vote for Trump.

Youngkin would move VA into the republican column.

You think Gabbard would help him win Hawaii?

You think Stefanik would help him win NY? She was elected in one GOP district, it's not like she has won a statewide race. And Trump is from the most populous part of that state, where he would need to win more voters. I can't see her helping him in NY, it's not like she's popular in NYC.

I don’t think it will be anyone approved by the deep state, aka Pence. I’d like to see a nobody that is dynamic, can jump in and become president in 2028. Trump learned a lot about the deep state and their inner workings.

Rubio is a genius compared to Kamala, has ethnicity which is a plus to tackle the border problem, has youth and strength to stand next to Trump

Unless there are skeletons waiting for oppo research to unleash

Behind a paywall. Do they suggest who is now among his choices using this new calculation?

My guess is that Trump will announce his choice on Sunday and it will be the guy with initials for a first name. I’m not a big fan of the guy, but I admit I don’t know a whole lot about him. He bad mouthed Trump in the beginning which I hate immensely and then he shifted into reverse to be a strong supporter. That episode makes me wonder how steady he is on the important issues. Right now his stand on the big issues seems all right.

Hawaii may be in play more that most people think. The response to the Maui fires (or lack thereof) is top of mind to many there.

BJ picked another southern democrat. Didn’t hurt him. Obama picked another northern liberal if you consider Delaware northern.

I’d be happy with Rubio. The seat’s safe afterwards and South America I believe is the future just like the Asian tigers were with the Sorks and Thailand. Hispanics here are secondary but he’’d peel off more than a few. The real potential is in a potential volcanic Cuba ripe for freedom. Promise the people what Trump offered the Works. They’d listen and the Castroites would feel like Joe Biden does right now. Same with Maduro. We station troops in Guyana for their oil. Rubio could bring it all out.

The NYT is hawking the idea that Trump needs a RINO as VP, just as Reagan "needed" GHWB; i.e., get him to swallow the poison pill.

With Bush's accession, it was all downhill from there.

All of the attention is on Biden’s brain and the Democrats trying to get him to give it up. The longer that goes on the worse the Democrats look and the more dirt the media digs up on those who knew and those who are currently fighting each other over his replacement. The second Trump announces his VP the media focus changes to digging up dirt on his pick. Trump certainly knows that.

I hope His VP choice is made of stern stuff because the Left is going to come at them with EVERYTHING they’ve got

Thus I cling to the forlorn hope that he will pick Sarah Sanders and she will accept.

Her state is solid red, but on merit she's the clear choice.

Also, if somehow Biden is still on the ticket in October, optics are better if Harris debates a woman. Picture it. Serious Sarah v. clown Kamala.

Very smart we’ve known that for decades-experience. How late can he wait? Maximum bang timing.
