Detectives are probing the parents of a baby girl who died after being exposed to extreme temperatures during a 120-degree heatwave in Arizona.

Four-month-old Tanna Rae Wroblewski had been boating with her family on Lake Havasu when she suddenly lost consciousness due to suspected heat-related complications on July 5, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, which is probing the circumstances surrounding her death.

Little Tanna’s mother, Alyssa Wroblewski, took to social media to detail her grief and was bashed for allegedly exposing her child to danger.

The Wroblewskis then set up a GoFundMe to “support” the family.

“Tanna Rae, our real life angel became an angel in heaven. We are beyond devastated, heartbroken, there are just no words,” she wrote on the GoFundMe page, which had raised more than $48,000 by Thursday.

Yeah, let’s take a four-month-old baby to Lake Havasu in summer.

Allegedly, the parents were in the water cooling off while the baby was left in the bow of the boat. When they returned the baby wasn’t breathing and had blood coming out of her ears.

‘I will never understand why you had to leave us, you were just too perfect. I love you endlessly and I will look for you everywhere angel,” Alyssa Wroblewski wrote in a tribute on her Facebook page which was then taken down. Then they immediately set up a GoFundMe.

:(

“Boy - I’m just burning up sitting in the boat. Lets jump in the lake to cool off.”

It doesn’t cost $48K to bury an infant.
On what basis are they asking for money?

You don’t expect them to use the same boat the baby died on do you?

I do not understand this mindset; I never will.

From the moment my kids were born, my first thought upon waking was about them and my last thought before I slept was about them. I prayed over them daily.

Everything was about them; their safety, their comfort, their enrichment, their health, their future.

My husband and I didn’t think about ourselves until my youngest was 15 years old.

From what I understand, the temps that day reached over 120 degrees. That’s dangerous for adults, pets and even older children but infants are especially susceptible to heat stroke because they cannot sweat or regulate their body temperature like adults do and from what I read, small children have more body surface area than body mass, so they gain heat more quickly than adults. “If it’s hot outside, your baby will overheat before you will.”

When there are such extreme heat advisories, it’s often communicated that these conditions are dangerous to anyone but especially to small children and the elderly. But it shouldn’t take warnings to know this. I would think it would be common sense.

And being on a boat, the sun reflects off the water and can make it even hotter.

I’d be willing to give the parents a pass that it was a tragic mistake, an accidental death if not for the social media posts and pictures include of their dead infant immediately after their child’s death, and then the pleading for funds.

I wasn’t able to have children but if I had any, or even if one of my great nieces died like this, I don’t think the first thing I’d do, hours after their death would be to post pictures on Facebook and then immediately start a GoFundMe.

But we live in such times. Everyone wants their 15 minutes of fame or there Keeping Up with The Kardashians moment.

“Oh look at the pictures our beautiful baby, including death pictures, who died on our watch because we are stupid, neglectfully and self-absorbed people. And Please Send Us Money.”

Exactly.

I did once contribute to a GoFundMe for a co-worker whose rental row home was destroyed in a fire due to old and faulty wiring and 3 of his grandchildren died and he was severely burned trying to rescue them.

But this was a man, a good and hardworking man who was working a blue-collar job and had taken in his daughter and grandchildren a few months earlier when they became homeless and was struggling to make ends meet.

If you can afford a boat and vacations, you don’t IMO need to raise funds, over 50k now I understand, for the funeral of a 4 month old baby.

I wouldn’t take anyone, including myself, on the lake in that type of heat. Taking a baby was the height of stupidity. The sun’s reflection on the water increases the heat and a baby can’t do the things we would do to keep ourselves cool.

The ignorant and foolish couple are not intelligent enough to have children.

In addition, an infants’ hypothalamus does not regulate temperatures as efficiently as an adult's.

I would go, but I wouldn't take children or vulnerable adults.

I am acclimated to the heat.

But yet they posted some heart wrenching photos of their beautiful infant who they left alone and allowed to die on that boat while they were cooling off in the water along with some totally not staged photos from the hospital on social media, showing their grief and shock as to why their baby died.

They have an older child who appears to be a toddler.

Very irresponsible and ignorant. Likely murder, I guess involuntary manslaughter. They should be held accountable for their actions and the death of their child.

I would go, but I wouldn't take children or vulnerable adults. I am acclimated to the heat.

I remember going to my uncle’s beach house on LBI and temps, and not the heat index but the actual temps, were over 100 degrees. And my uncle’s house didn’t have air conditioning. It was brutal.

My husband and I ventured down to the beach, but the sand was so hot it was melting the bottom of my sandals, and the water temperature was like bath water so there was no relief from the heat there either.

As we walked back to my uncle’s house, only one block from the beach, I nearly passed out and I was pretty fit back then, often played golf and went power walking even in the heat and I much prefer heat over cold, and I didn’t like running the AC at our house until the humidity got too high and my cats started melting. FWIW, I used to tell my husband to suck it up, but the cats were a different story. LOL!

But when temps reach 120 and above, there’s IMO no acclimating to that. But putting an infant in that situation is inexcusable.

Very irresponsible and ignorant. Likely murder, I guess involuntary manslaughter. They should be held accountable for their actions and the death of their child.

They are being investigated over the death now, but I read somewhere, but can’t confirm for certain, that the father is a cop in California where they live.

We’ll see what happens with the investigation, but we know that The Thin Blue Line often likes to protect their own.

I’m guessing it will be ruled an accidental death or at the worse, involuntary manslaughter but there will probably be no real consequences for then.

And maybe it was just their ignorance, and they really didn’t know and didn’t realize their infant was in danger. But the whole, they were swimming in the water to cool off while their baby was left alone to roast to death in the bow of the boat, if that is proven true, tells a different story. That and their almost immediate pleas to raise money is a bit sus to me.

Was wondering that myself. The medical bills will be expensive, but you’d think they’d have insurance. Maybe they’re expecting to have some legal bills.
