I don't like and don't trust either Vance or Rubio period.

A double whammy on Rubio is that "(H)is mother made at least four return trips to Cuba after Castro's takeover, including a month-long trip in 1961.[4] Neither of Rubio's parents was a U.S. citizen at the time of Rubio's birth..."

The triple whammy on Rubio is that he and President Trump have Florida residency.

The 12th Amendment maintains that presidential and vice presidential candidates running on the same ticket “shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves.”

We need someone who has balls like Trump, DeSantis is the closest and was a successful governor

I am not saying they’ve done anything. But what has Vance ever done, but make a career of bashing conservatives, and supporting leftist policies? He also bashed Trump.

Are you telling me that you have family members who say they will either vote for Biden/Harris/Newsome or stay home unless Trump picks a VP that is 20% more moderate than him....in which case they WILL vote for him?

I don’t believe you.

“Rubio is basically out to begin with because he’s lives in Florida as does President Trump.”
—————
That is very easy to fix - one or the other moves elsewhere for official purposes. Duck Cheney hopped on a plane in the middle of the night about 3 days before the convention and changed his residency from TX to WY so that he could be on the ticket with Texan Bush 43.

As for taking all your marbles home if you don’t get your way in the VP pick, it seems like you’d rather have 4 more years of Biden/Harris and all that they and their puppet masters bring to the table, than have a so-so behind Trump. Bad choice, IMHO.

He (Cheung) also described the Republicans in contact with donors as “bottom-feeding parasites” who “do nothing more than to leech of [sic] drama and fake news because they have to disassociate themselves from their sad, miserable existence.”

Great way to talk about fellow Trump team-members. He should lose his job.

I assume picking Gabbard means there will be no viable Republican candidate in 2028?

What the 2020 Harris pick reminds us is the VP pick doesn’t matter in the election at hand BUT it sure as hell can matter in the one that follows.

He is exactly who the establishment wants. It’s conservatives who are against him. Why do you think he’s spent the last two months burnishing his left credentials - promoting abortions and minimum wage.

DJT was asked yesterday about Rubio being VP and wouldn’t it be a negative since you’re both in FLA...DJT said ‘that’s an easy fix’

:)

But does it matter? GOP will be a regional party by 2028.

If you’re going to do the “Same-State-Find-a-Constitutional-Solution-Dance” over Rubio it makes more sense to do that with DeSantis. DeSantis has obvious accomplishments: Rubio is too young needs to season more. I acknowledge its harder for a legislator to show any accomplishments. It’s why in general they make lousy presidents.

Not my first choice but why not Virginia’s Youngkin? Gives a shot to picking up Virginia.

“Vance would make a first class VP for Trump.”

And if JDV had to move into POTUS slot for some reason, we’d have a Hindu FLOTUS. Presidents’ wives have too much influence over their husbands’ careers, and I’m pretty sure America doesn’t need input from someone who worships a multitude of gods.

BTW, not advocating for Rubio in my post; just pointing out that that comment easily applies to RD
