Social conservatives have long been the red-headed stepchildren of the Republican plantation. We’re told to just shut up and vote, because we have no other choice.

These days, party platforms can never help the GOP. They can only hurt. “Look what those nasty Republicans believe in!”

I should have been hired to write this year’s GOP platform. I’d be done in 15 seconds: Make America Great Again.

That’s it. Case closed.

As President Trump stated, in an interview, this morning ... states rights are where the power of the people lies.

Trump runs the RNC, Lara Trump. There is no excuse for the platform not concisely reflecting Trump MAGA.

It seems that nearly every single one of the national Republican politicians and candidates are GOP-e. Uniparty.

I’d be angry if platforms really meant anything.

Not really.

It’s a recognition that we have a federal system, unifying 50 sovereign states, with strictly limited powers of the federal government.

All these issues are state issues, not federal, which is what the Founders of our country intended.

Planned parenthood now dictates to the GOP.
They will never get another vote from me on a national level.
Just like the Covid shots…. You are being handled by the Marxists who are great with grannies and homosexuals.. unblind justice.
They already came for your bumpstocks.
#LoseTheCurchVote.
A third grader could tell you that murder rape and slavery cannot be up to the states.

“ I want something that says the unborn baby has a fundamental right to life that can’t be infringed,” she added. ”

Dream on. Roe v Wade was a constitutional monstrosity because the Court made the “right” up out of whole cloth, claiming a power for itself that does not exist.

Once gone, however, the issue returns to popular sovereignty - and abortion in the first trimester is overwhelmingly popular.

Fighting for six weeks or no abortions guarantees butchery during term labor, because if that’s the price of legal first trimester abortion that’s a price the people will pay.

Politically, wanting to ban abortion at the federal level, is a losing political move.

Not morally, but politically, it’s a losing issue.

Hence the platform.

What difference does it make since republicans weren’t ever going to do anything about social issues anyways.

The federal government was addressing marriage from the beginning.

As long as we keep nominating conservative judges, everything else conservatives want they will eventually get.

No need to give the opposition ammo.

EXACTLY - I think Trump is tired of our side handing ammo to the Left, to shoot us with.

and every election the dems make killing babies their main issue. President Trump said he is pro life. I see this as getting ahead on the issue.
