It’s interesting watching long-established sports exterminating themselves by disrespecting their fans in order to pander to people who don’t care about these sports and will never watch them. Organizational suicide.
It has been long enough that I don’t remember about routine pit stops. I would assume they had them. That said, the race I attended was called after the racing field piled up in a hairpin curve during the second segment of the race..

For some reason the road track e-formula racing isn’t quite as bad. Still no cool ICE sounds, but the continual acceleration aand braking (I forget if they use regenerative braking) keeps your interest a little better..

Indy cars. I guess the organization is a bit coy about the ingredients post 2023 but the largest proportion is ethanol derived from sugar cane waste and the mix no longer contains any gasoline.
What could go wrong? With a crash and the resulting inextinguishable thermite-like fire consuming the track surface . . . these races would end spectacularly.
The Noosecar e-car drivers will be wearing chaps without pants underneath.
EVs in NASCAR are inevitable. They are faster and more reliable. It’s just a matter of time until the batteries can last, and that is coming sooner rather than later.
Sorry, just the facts. It’s got nothing to do with politics or wokeness. EVs are faster, and accelerate quicker.
Indeed. methinks they haven't thought this through. That's not even taking into account the fact that you'll have hours of charger time just to make it through the race.

it was very exciting watching those tiny cars hit 300 - scale - mph. I'm trying to figure out how they are going to put slots and rails in asphalt? Or are the cars gonna rub the wall all the way around the track?
