Judging by the receipt he buys processed factory food, which is both crap and overpriced.

Rice, beans, vegetables, fruit, lean meats ... do your own damn cooking and stop being lazy. Your food bill will drop dramatically.

This cost me $105 today:

Small container of blueberries
Small container of heaven cream
2 packages of butter
Bag of red potatoes
3 Jalapenos
1 cucumber
1 tomato
1 watermelon
3 pears
2 bags of salad mix
1 bag of bagel thins
1 package of turkey meat
1 container of Simply lemonade
1 container of coffee
1 box of chip bags
1 box of crackers

This was the supplemental shopping. My husband usually spends at least $200 a week for a family of 4 on the staples like milk, meat, flour, sugar, bananas, etc.

We eat out once a week, otherwise it’s all home cooking.

The cost of butter went from $2 to $4.50. The cost of blueberries went from $3 to $9. Bacon doubled. This is just the beginning...
