Orange County used to be solidly Red. Now even the Orange County Register newspaper is owned by the Los Angeles Times.

There has been a massive influx of Asians and Hispanics into Orange County, i.e. rich Democrats and poor Democrats. The Vietnamese are the only reliable Asian Republicans in the county but are far outnumbered by the Asians in the tech business who vote Democrat for the same self-defeating reasons as liberal Jews.
