California has been allowed to dictate emissions policy for other states although the technology is not yet available to meet their requirements.

However, remember when SCOTUS allowed California to dictate how out-of-state pork producers raised their animals if the meat was to be sold in that state. I don't know if SCOTUS will give them much help here.

SCOTUS ping!

You can find the list of cases SCOTUS has already accepted for the term starting in October at this link:

“U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s emissions mandate”

The recent ‘Chevron’ case that was just overturned by the SCOTUS might be a factor when a three-letter agency makes rules themselves.

Maybe they can undo all of California’s laws that bully other states—eggs, pork, chicken, cars, emissions, etc.

Not feeling real sorry for the corn growers...ethanol kills, and has no environmental benefits. Ethanol is just another unnecessary farm subsidy.

Seems that the SCOTUS knock down of the Chevron Deference should resolve the law making other than by the US Congress.

I don’t think CA “dictates” emissions policy, I believe a number of state legislatures have passed laws that say “Whatever CA CARB does we will follow.” That’s on those stupid states for following CA. I don’t know how many... 6-7 more or less? I don’t know.

A small grocery store in my town here in commieforina had a sign over the bacon that said “The price of Bacon has increased thanks to Prop 12” I guess they got a lot of questions about it. Bacon went from around $3 to $7-10 a lb. I love bacon but ham is actually cheaper than bacon now. I don’t know why.
Prop 12 said pork sold in CA “MUST” be raised in “Bigger” pens.... resulting in a lot of farmers shutting down do to the burden of cost to resize their pens. BIG PORK probably pushed this law, to push out smaller operations and raise their prices for more profit. (does it apply to out of country farmers??? I don’t know. I need to the check the label of origin on the ham I guess.)
As I recall from my “Expert” opinion /S from the Movie “Trading Places” pork bellies are part of the commodity futures on the stock market. Pork bellies is/are what Bacon is made out of. This Reeeeeeks of Insider trading.
To go a little deeper.... everyone probably thinks that its family households that buy bacon to have with their eggs for breakfast... nope, those people that cant afford it wont buy it.... its Restaurants... small guys, big guys.... fast food Bacon burgers.... Denny’s.... Golden corral... “They” Have to buy it.
I know I’m getting long winded. One more thing I wanted to say....CA has like 40 million people (consumers) but only like 30-40% actually vote. And out of that its 35-40% Rebublican and 55-60% Democratic party.
There is a lot of voter base out here that never votes... Trump would do good out here to “Get The Vote” Which they always say. .... Hell we have Ads that say “Just go out and VOTE! GET the VOTE out!” They put those ADs out because the propositions say “SAFE, CLEAN, Hard on Crime” type of stuff. And its always the opposite. But the stupid low information voters just suck it up and vote yes for the opposite of what they want.
OK IM DONE.

It’s not a coincidence that climate change has gotten worse since the increase in EV’s and battery manufacturing around the world.
