It seems like the purpose of July 4th has been forgotten. I might be a little confused and would never take away from our troops sacrifices. But I did not hear one word about the original patriots who fought in the American revolution, who actually created the Declaration of Independence and gave us our freedom. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson John Adam’s and many others. I would like to mention my paternal ancestor, Jacob Seachrist of Pennsylvania and his young sons who fought in the American Revolution. Also, my maternal ancestors of John Rhodes, (Roads) of Lursy, VA. All farmers and militia, nonetheless, freedom fighters.
