President Biden pledged Wednesday night during a meeting with Democratic governors at the White House to regain his footing in his reelection campaign after a faltering debate performance last week, according to several governors who took part in the gathering. Biden’s events in coming days are being closely watched as he and aides seek to tamp down continuing angst over what transpired.
Biden plans to host a Fourth of July barbecue with active-duty service members Thursday afternoon, and another event in the evening with military and veteran families.
Biden is “absolutely not” dropping out as the Democratic presidential nominee in his race against former president Donald Trump, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters Wednesday.
Both the Biden campaign and the White House are hoping that events in the days after the Fourth of July holiday will reassure voters and party insiders. They point out that no senior Democrats have called on President Biden to step down as the party’s presidential nominee.

He says he will regain footing. The democrats have offered to supply the cement free of charge.
My wife’s friend went to the local government office to remove her dad from the voting rolls because he died three years ago. They did, but said he voted twice since he died. I kid you not.
But it gets better. Her mom died 26 years ago and she decided to check. Sure enough, she has been voting ever since she died. Comically, because she didn’t have a death certificate for her it was very difficult to get them to remove her, though she somehow worked it out.
I don’t know why I even bother to vote and more. I guess it’s just force of habbit.
