Democrats have a ready-made replacement if Joe Biden stands aside before November's election. She’s been vetted. Her election would be historic. And she would easily take up the Biden mantle.
There's one problem: Her name is Kamala Harris and by every measure she is the most unpopular vice president in American history – and among the least likely people to defeat Donald Trump in a general election fight. But Democrats may be stuck with her anyway.
'Kamala Harris has a high name ID, which means her brand is harder to change,' said pollster James Johnson, who conducted the Mail survey. 'Unlike other candidates who are a blank slate to voters and can more easily define themselves, Harris brings a lot of baggage.'
A comedian on Democrat-friendly 'The Daily Show' lampooned her distinctive style as 'speaking without thinking'.
Early on in the Biden administration, the president tasked Harris with addressing the burgeoning illegal immigration crisis. Three months later, when pressed by NBC News's Lester Holt on why she hadn't even visited the southern border, Harris strangely insisted that she had. ‘We've been to the border,' she claimed. ‘You haven't been to the border,' Holt said. ‘And I haven't been to Europe,' Harris shot back with an awkward laugh. 'I mean, I don't understand the point that you're making.'
For the next year, Harris avoided sit-down interviews. And even Biden described his VP as a 'work in progress.

That’s not the only hurdle for anti- Harris Democrats. In a call with party donors on Sunday, Biden campaign manager Julie Chávez Rodriguez explained that only Harris would be eligible to spend the $91.2 million raised by the campaign.
Under Federal Election Commission rules, the cash is not transferable to another candidate.
That means if someone other than Harris becomes the nominee, the money haul must be returned to donors. They could then decide if they wanted to back the new candidate.
When the Mail’s poll respondents were asked to sum up the vice president in a word the most common response was ‘incompetent.’
In a sign of support from Democrats, the second most common word was ‘competent’ – which is hardly effusive praise – followed by ‘strong’, ‘stupid’, ‘corrupt’, ‘horrible’, and ‘dumb’.
In public, Harris has developed a reputation for delivering heaped helpings of ‘word salad’ – a phrase to describe her rambling explanations of seemingly simple concepts. During a visit to a children’s hospital in May, Harris said: ‘We all believe that when we talk about the children of the community, they are children of the community.’
Ha! Kamala could only garner 2% support when she ran for POTUS and quickly dropped out.
The Democrats won’t dare step over a black woman for the likes of Gavin Newsom.
I think they’ll sacrifice this election to Trump to get rid of both Biden and Harris and concentrate on 2028 - setting that up by viciously attacking Trump every single day for his every single move, just as they did during his first presidency.
Don’t get too excited. Anyone who is the nominee, Crooked Joe Biden on down, has as much of a chance as the next person of winning the Presidency. It’s about the machine and the machine will be in full gear. They’ll rob, cheat and steal the election and it really doesn’t matter who they have. Fettermann sounded as bad or worst than Joe Biden and he won PA and is a sitting Senator. It is now and always has been Trump v the Machine.
“She’s been vetted” … and found to be extremely unqualified.
I love Kamala because she’s the quintessential lib: dumb as your proverbial box of rocks but absolutely convinced that she’s the smartest person in the room, and insufferably smug about that belief. Her annoying affect is just frosting in the cake.

Completely irrelevant. Crooked Joe Biden got 1% of the vote twice. He had to drop out for plagiarizing. They dragged him through while he was clearly passed his prime (which wasn’t a very high bar to begin with)

First, only she and/or Biden have access to the campaign donations in the Biden/Harris coffers.
And second, black kingmakers (and loudmouths), like Rep James Clyburn in SC, are demanding that she get the nod...or else.

Congress has no authority over the processes by which States appoint their Electors.
If you think they do, and can create regulatory bodies binding on the States to do it, find in in the Constitution and post it here.
50 States using voting to appoint their Electors, who meet in 50 separate locations and elect the President does not create a “Federal Election”.
Every day that passes by makes it more impossible to replace Bidon.
Her reply to any question from the media is cackling (and the media give her a pass).
Kamala is an albatross around the Democrats neck - why they keep her hidden as much as possible.
No matter what else is said about her...
she is fully qualified.
She has the credentials as ‘a woman’ and as ‘black’ and as a combination of different ethnicities. Perfect!
Nothing else needed. That’s how democrats view qualifications, for just about everything. DEI comes home to roost. She is irreplaceable.
Professional qualifications? Well, she’s got none to speak of, other than she slept her way to the top. Plenty of women do that, so, what’s the problem?
Besides, democrats never expected anything to go wrong, so, just about anybody could have served as VP, a not very consequential position. So, to make the ticket more palatable, democrats chose ‘a black’ and ‘a woman’, a double-whammy, What could be better?
But, perhaps future VPs can be better chosen? You don’t want to suffer the consequences of major mistakes, and Kamala is a mistake of universal proportions. Democrats are stuck, and now they have to sell krap to the American people, and that krap was already rejected in monumental proportions.
I have REPEATEDLY posted this truth. Spot on. Now, what are we going to do about it? Roll over and become third world Banana Republic? I truly believe all of this is punishment by God for the sins of the nation. I can find scripture after scripture which confirms that such will happen when a people become evil and turn their backs on God. That fella having homosexual relations in the Senate Hearing Room ON VIDEO with almost no major negative reaction by members of Congress had to be the breaking point.
