Sen. Joe Manchin had planned to publicly call on President Biden to step aside after last week’s train wreck debate, but top Democrats got wind and convinced him not to — as a growing number of White House officials say they are “freaking the f–k out,” according to reports.

Typical Joe Manchin.
Talks big then folds.
Manchin is a snake who will do what is best for Manchin.
He'll wait until the momentum is with Biden leaving, and then he'll call on him to 'do the right thing.'
Biden won’t resign. His whole family faces jail time for serious felonies. Biden holds the Ace with the power to pardon his entire family. This is why Hunter is now in on all the White House meetings. Joe resigns and Hunter could spend the rest of his life in federal prison.
we know what he is
he is just negotiating the price
Manchin doesn’t know which team he’s on or who he will support. He’s not a Democrat anymore, he says he’s an Independent, but he still caucuses with the Democrats. I think he’s more like all Independents. They don’t choose sides until the game is over. Manchin is a mess.
EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN “LINE IN THE SAND”.
EVERYONE HAS A FUSE.
SOME HAVE A LOOOONG FUSE
SOME HAVE A SHORT FUSE
SOME HAVE NO FUSE AT ALL.
NOT ONLY HUNTER-—
JAMES IS ALSO AT RISK
Yes look how independent he is.
Manchin is staking out some ground. Recall that once the President is replaced the Vice President’s office becomes open and any replacement will require a majority vote in the Senate. The Senate is currently 49 Republicans, 47 Democrats, and 4 Independents. They’ll need all four indies for approval because the office being vacant, the VP is no longer a tie-breaking vote. And that gives Manchin the sort of leverage a politician dreams of.
The 25A requires a majority of the cabinet and 2/3 of the House and Senate - if the President resists.
I'm old enough to remember the horse trading that took place along these line surrounding the Nixon resignation, after they'd taken out Agnew. Interesting times.
