I don’t think the Michelle story is bait. I don’t even hear Democrats pining for that. The only people who talk about Michelle being the candidate are Republicans/conservatives.
Michelle is mostly rumor and her silence, veiled from media, during a Dem PARTY crisis is highly unusual and suspect.
By both sides.
I call that “bait” only because invoking her name serves to rattle our side, and ease the democrat base.
Accomplishing that for some period, buys time for Dems, and it keeps our side off balance.
