Yes it is....but if a person is as mean and nasty as Joe was ‘before’ Dementia they can and often get violent after dementia diagnosed. ...it just gets worse.

We knew with a family member that getting them out around people an events they were far more calm etc. Which is why Joes smiles and such round people....but he also spaces out frequently.....’that stare’ when he's still...he's seeing things nobody else is.
