biden's circle of far less "impressive" people assumed that Trump was critically wounded after being "convicted" so they had the tough guy biden challenge him to a debate sooner rather than have the "convicted felon" label wear out and become stale over the summer months.

They so desperately wanted to use the "convicted felon" label on a national stage knowing that the fence sitters and other "undecideds" would be watching.

Timing.
