“Irony is completely lost on these people”

The decision just sheltered Joe Biden from being prosecuted for withholding billions in US Aid to Ukraine until Ukraine fired the prosecutor who was after Hunter.

It does not shelter Biden from prosecution for grabbing tons of classified documents when he was a senator and storing them in his garage.

So it’s a mixed bag.

And there’s still the venue problem. Whether an act was an official act is a question of fact that probably goes to the jury. Any Washington DC jury will convince an R, regardless and will acquit a D, regardless.

So the deep state still holds the whip hand in the banana republic.

Absent a special statute of limitations, the general federal statute for noncapital crimes is five years. So Joe was in the clear long ago on that particular Ukraine piece of the family influence peddling business
