In days of old, there was a term used primarily by the British elite:
“Philistine”
Defined: During the 1600s, as a result of the negative depiction of the Philistines in the Bible, the word philistine came to be applied figuratively to anyone considered an enemy. However, the modern sense of the word, “uncultured person,” stems from the slang of German university students in the 1600s.
This was a pejorative term (that of course today with PC language) would never be used in “good company”.
Yet, the so-called “Philistines” or today’s PALEOstinians prove time and time again that they are still living in the 7th century.
People who want to take offense will find SOMETHING to take it over.
Trump said nothing wrong. Some people are just looking for an occasion against him.
