That approach was perfected by Bill Clinton back in the day.
The War Room has key senior staff “persuaders” pitching the target over the phone immediately—making sure to flatter them with how important they are.
They have a priority list of those who must be kept “on the team”.
—Big donors first—top priority
—Senior Senate and House Democrats and DNC leaders—second priority
—Other Senate and House Democrats
Notice who is not on the list.
The mass media.
Clinton’s team always had them at the top of the list.
That is why Clinton survived and it is likely Biden will not.
