IMHO,the Kamala media narrative does not fly. She is almost as bad a candidate as Biden. This will be an open convention after Biden withdraws in a few days after the first debate polls roll in underscoring the debate train wreck and donor money dries up. There will be no one individual the black electorate can point to to blame for wiping every last vestige of Kamala from the ticket, assuming she does not want to go quietly. (She will, by the way, if she wants a future in California politics or an administration job if they win) Whatever presidential candidate they pick, they will pick a generic black guy as a VP running mate and that will allay some of the whining about Kamala and black party elites like Clyburn praising the new ticket will allay the rest Blacks will forget it and return home to the party if they left at all.
They may promise Kamala that she will be the next governor of California in exchange for her quietly stepping down as the VP candidate. Then Newsom can be the presidential candidate with a different VP.
