Who came up with the idea to have no audience? They could not have thought Biden would do better with no audience.
Im sure Trump allowed whatever format they wanted without hesitation . He was probably thinking‘I can win this debate eithe both hands tied behind my back

And if you look back a couple of days prior to the debate, a good portion of our FR brethren were saying how stupid Trump was to agree to this debate. This debate was a God-send so that the voting masses can see what they are voting for.
The down side - Biden more than likely won't be the nominee.
