I used to travel all the time, used Uber and found that nearly every driver was new or less than 2-3 months. Discussion found that the work was unsteady and failed to cover the out-of-pocket costs to maintain their cars. The work was transitory as it was a losing proposition.
I guess old school taxis are a thing of the past?
I’d hate to be the guy that paid a quarter-million for a big city medallion that used to be required to drive a taxi. Paid it shortly before the transition to Uber began, I mean.
