A lot of us grew up listening to the real Don Steele, he was everywhere!

For me it was KHJ in LA and later KRLA.

We had a deep fight in our house all the time over which station was better - I preferred KHJ, loved their DJs - my siblings preferred KRLA - and would always change the intercom system (remember those?)

Best part about “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” was KHJ in the background constantly - I told my kids that’s exactly how it was - KHJ (or sometimes KRLA) was ALWAYS playing - in the car, on the intercom, at the pool, at friends’ homes, I had one friend that kept it on 24 hours a day.

Those were good times...
