On a side note - how is it ok for Alex Jones to have to go bankrupt for something he said? I’ve never listened to him, think what he said was completely stupid, but people lie all the time, especially the “public servants” (what a joke).
Seems like the SCOTUS should have done something about this,
The freedom of speech right has to do with the government not being allowed to charge you with a crime, but civil courts which are for settling disputes can certainly make you pay for defamation. The families were harassed, so he has to pay damages. He should’ve been less stupid about his wild accusations about so many people.
