First off it will be the only job you can get where most of your income is tax free. Second the government will have to raise everyone else’s taxes to make up for it. It does not seem fair to me.

And unfortunately THAT is how it really works. One way or another THEY ARE NOT GOING TO GIVE UP ONE DIME OF TAX REVENUE.

But, I agree with the concept because it will at least keep that income to be spent in the LOCAL economy. Anytime we can do that it is a good thing.

Let me share a short story. When I turned 21 I had a lot of family members vying to have me join their “lodge”. One was a Rotary, One was an Elk, one was an eagle. I asked them where does this money from dues and fund raisers go? Only one did not send it to a central disbursement board so very little came back to our local community. So I joined the Eagles, The revenue they collected from dues and fundraisers stayed in our local community.

They spend $8.3T a year. Surely they could find $250B spent on useless crap to get rid of? If I’m not mistaken, every year the Office of Management and Budget presents a large list of wasteful and fraudulent spending to Congress. And every year, Congress ignores it. How bout they start there?
