Definitely NOT the military I joined in 1966. Homos were FORBIDDEN, and each year we had an assembly warning us about them! Then had to sign that we had the assembly.
We were raised so sheltered we had no idea such people existed. We did know of a few “sissy boys” but not their lifestyle. When I first found out about it in 1964, my first reaction was ....”That’s just not RIGHT! NOT NORMAL!” and always shied away from anyone weird. Anyone!
