I thought the issue of secession was settled in 1861-1865 and Texas vs White in 1869.
Now if ALL the states seceded from Washington D.C. would be another matter....

Once this starts, it will be more than 6. You will see the entire Midwest and east coast south of the mason Dixon line with exception of Illinois, Maryland, Delaware, and possibly Virginia. It will impact interstate travel, defense, and interstate commerce including oil and electricity generation. DC would be in a terrible predicament with millions of confederates with modern weapons at its door step.

The initial signs of secession have already started, and it’s apparent when looking at the number of federal dictates that states are nullifying by refusing to enforce them.

States are telling the federal government that they don’t recognize the federal government’s authority and are striking out on their own.

I expect this nullification of federal mandates to pick up steam in the coming years.

And the fantasists claiming that this will be stopped by freezing bank accounts or sending in the fat, middle age female federal bureaucrats to engage in battle are full of bull manure.

That was ONE of the factors leading to the demise of the Soviet Union. Satellite countries were tired of central authority and/or local politicians wanted some of the power.

Corruption moves, it is never eliminated. But being closer to the people we have a little more say as our Founding Fathers designed.

What makes you think the Republic of Texas would want your unnamed midwestern states to join?

That is pretty much the plan in Texas. Not a formal secession. We'll just ignore unconstitutional mandates that we don't like (there are plenty of those already).

As far as preparing for a national breakdown, Texas has a gold depository, investigating using gold backed digital currency, is building an armory, increase the Texas military budget considerably, and has taken many more actions. Again, we would not secede unless it was peaceful OR a national implosion. But we are definitely preparing for various contingencies.

4 years of a Trump/8 years of a Trump Like Conservative with a working majority in the House AND Senate MIGHT, I say MIGHT, be able to save us, but I think that is unlikely to play out.

We can NEVER be a “united” country with Nazis, Communists and terrorists.

We must build a new nation of Conservative states (Alberta is welcome) and like minded counties in other states to form a more perfect union.

This new nation will flourish under FREEDOM and the rest can just wither on the vine and DIE.
