Two countries divided by a common language...
I think any bird that high was thrown up there by a storm, not by flying. Either dead or dying.
Dumbasses. See below:

I know it’s like beating a dead horse - ahem - but the Boeing windscreen heater defect has been known FOR YEARS, and this ‘self-regulating’ BS granted Boeing by FAA is that which is directly responsible for it not having been remedied by now.
Yes, but that was a maintenance issue.
There’s another incident where the copilot was sucked halfway out due to the same explosive decompression, but due to a known windscreen heater defect causing the multi layered windscreen to shatter.
There are MULTIPLE incidents of cracked windscreens on n Boeing aircraft.
See my #63.
Enjoy your flight. /s
You can think what you want but birds like vultures have adaptability to low oxygen and make good efficient use of it.
FYI:
High Flyers counteract the reduced oxygen levels by having an amazing lung respiratory system, which uses the smallest amount of oxygen available to its full effect. So why do vultures fly so high… to use the natural jet streams found at higher altitudes, allowing them to cover massive distances with little effort.
https://vulprokidscorner.wordpress.com/tag/how-do-vultures-fly-so-high/
They ride the jet stream to cover great distances and the jet stream height fluctuates usually between 30,000 and 52,000 ft but can be lower and higher depending on several variables.
Windshield cracking happens. In fact it’s pretty much a weekly occurrence according to numerous aviation media sources.
And it happens no matter if it was Boeing, Airbus, Mitsubishi, Bombardier, Embraer, etc. There are going to be more Boeing’s reported with cracked windshields simply because there are more Boeing jets flying.
“Cue up the Twilight Zone episode with William Shatner…”
Ah yes, “Nightmare At 20000 Feet”.
The part was also played by John Lithgow in The Twilight Zone Movie.
New aircraft losing doors ….
I had forgotten about that!
Road trips for the win. I will gladly drop whatever I’m doing just to go with somebody on a road trip. The longer the better! Yes, most of them turn out to be h3ll but I still cherish the memories!
The ending of the movie IIRC has Lithgow strapped down in the back of an ambulance, with Dan Ackroyd as the driver saying something along the lines of “You want to see something really scary?”
It was a great movie!
You don't know the birds I know.
