Israel could easily make all of southern Lebanon an uninhabitable buffer zone for the next several hundred years, and do so in somewhat less than 72 minutes. However, the Usraelis are civilized, so they won’t do that…but if Hezbollah is going to keep up their attacks, they’ll get the Hamas treatment and Iran will lose another of its proxies.

Much of the hysteria about fallout is longstanding Russian disinformation planted with Russia sympathizers during the Soviet era. Part of it was the usual left wing hysteria. Part of it was ideological fellow traveling. But at least one part was just lack of compelling material to justify helping the Russians get a leg up. Who wants to be part of a Russian kleptocracy, Tsarist, Bolshevik or Putinist? So peaceniks said, in essence, let’s give Russia everything it wants even if we end up as Russian oblasts, a Novo NovoRossiya, because that way we don’t risk a Russian nuclear attack. Better to live on your knees than die on your feet.

Anyhow, life expectancies at Nagasaki and Hiroshima are not materially different from other Japanese prefectures - low to mid-80s - despite these two areas being the only cities ever attacked with nuclear weapons, with what would be considered dirty, high-fallout warheads by today’s standards.

Israel has nukes, we do not know how many. Some estimate around 200. They have never tested them. They work as they are our designs that have been tested and they work, but that is another story.

The Samson Option is if Israel falls she will launch the Nukes at her enemies and those that support her enemies. They will bring The Temple Down on themselves and foes. Israel has a triad of missiles and bombs. Air dropped, land based missiles, and sub launched missiles. You can take out the land and air systems but the subs you will not take out. If Israel falls, death will rise from the Mediterranean from submarines.

It eludes me in logic, why they attack Israel. If they win they will die.
