It is a Constitutional crisis between two equal branches; the Congress and the Executive. It has to be resolved maybe at the highest court.
Can’t escape the irony that they exert executive privilege for refusing to comply while locking up Bannon and Navarro for exercising the same privilege. Which is probably even more valid as the POTUS can exert privilege over advice and counsel. Can the DOJ use its discretion not to prosecute itself? Especially as Jordan says, it already waived privilege.
But that isn’t the point. The point is to bury the tape at least until after the election. On that front they already won.
The executive privilege asserted by Brandon and his minions is horse hockey. Being interviewed by a Special Prosecutor investigating the President for crimes is not an official job duty of the President of the United States of America, therefore, the privilege does not apply at all in this case.
Yup. Just more of that "saving democracy" stuff.
