As supporters of former President Donald Trump anxiously await his selection for a vice presidential running mate, online sleuths have unearthed evidence of a website domain that may indicate his choice is already made.
Users of X on Thursday located a URL tying the former president to Doug Burgum, the popular governor of North Dakota and former Republican presidential candidate who self-funded his run before it came to an end late last year. The friendly, earnest midwestern governor has won plaudits for packaging the MAGA brand in a style that allies of Trump say will appeal to key voters he could struggle to win over in November, including suburban women. Philip Reichert with the American Conservation Coalition was the first to discover that www.trumpburgum.com is up and running and redirects to President Trump’s main campaign page.

Trump needs a VP that can campaign reach a demographic that Trump does not do easily. And that can energize and galvanize them to vote for Trump. OR, at least get them to stay home and NOT Vote Biden.
Then is 100% maga comitted. And competent enough for Trump to take on and complete projects. They do NOT have to be MAGA heir apparent.

Why on earth would Trump, or any candidate for that matter, pick someone who has been critical of him and doesn’t share his vision? It makes no sense. There are those rare instances when someone has a come to Jesus moment and genuinely rethinks their prior criticisms of the candidate. J.D. Vance might be such a case. But that’s not the norm. Usually when a politician has been critical of a candidate then suddenly decides he supports him, it’s due to ambition, not conviction. Trump has no use for candidates who are not aligned with him but pretend, in order to be on the ticket.

If Trump wins VA, he will have already won PA, MI and WI. By all means, Trump should make a play for VA, if for no other reason than to force the Democrats to spend money there. But VA isn’t going to pull Trump over the finish line. If he wins it, it will be because he’s already won in a landslide. Youngkin is not a MAGA politician. He deliberately distanced himself from Trump during his campaign. He’s nothing more than another version of Mike Pence. No thanks. Trump needs loyalty, not opportunists.
