Have you read any of his books? You've claimed to be "well-read". Or did you pull some hostile opinion quote up off the internet? Have you looked at his CV? Lots deeper than yours, I'll bet.
I don't much give a darn about his politics. He writes good, accurate, well-researched and well-documented history.
If he's a Lefty, his "facts" are well-steeped in a teapot full of cow droppings.
Fortunately, I have quite a library of Eastern Front books with which to compare his opinion...
