You stand by your comment that Cortés did not discover the Baja California peninsula?

In 1536, Cortés explored the northwestern part of Mexico and discovered the Baja California peninsula.

I don't know what to think. My original comment on this thread was that Cortés didn't explore farther north than that in response to a question. The gulf was even named the "Sea of Cortés."

I never said Cortez didn’t discover Baja. If I did, please show me where and I will stand corrected.
