Why so many expats are choosing to live and work in Dubai and the UAE. Will you join them?

I haven't been to Dubai but if you're wealthy and you have a young family, you may be better off in Dubai at this point.

The West is crazy and our culture is toxic.

If you want to live in the heart of Dubai, it will be expensive. But just outside, in areas like Amjaf, not so bad. I've felt safe there, no litter on the beaches, the store owners actually appreciate your business, etc. It's definitely got the safe feeling of say Singapore, but actually less expensive.

There is also a bit of a culture of a "weekend millionaire" that I was told about, where someone will save up for the entire year and then blow it on a vacation of sorts for the weekend with their friends: rent a fancy car/apartment, exclusive restaurants, nightclubs, etc. Which in the scheme of things, would probably cost less than an entire week at Disneyworld.
